• Question: Is it easy with your jobs?

      Im a PhD student which means I am studying one project for 3 years and trying to find out something brand new. So thats hard sometimes, because its something thats never been done before. But thats what makes it exciting, and I work in a group of other scientists who all help each other out if one of us is stuck.

      I don’t think my job is easy but I think if it was easy I wouldn’t find it as fun. A lot of the enjoyment I get from my work is because I do have to work hard to understand what is happening in my research. Also even though sometimes my work is very complicated and requires me to spend a lot of hours working on a problem, I tend to work closely with other scientists and when you work as part of a team that makes it more fun. One thing I really like about my job is I can listen to music or podcasts when I’m doing lab work and that makes things much more enjoyable.

      That’s a difficult question to answer because I think it also depends how much you love your job and if you want an easy job or not.

      Science isn’t easy, but we do not go into science because it is easy or hard – we go into this job because we are passionate about what we do! I don’t think I could do an easy job…..I would get too bored 🙁 I seek to challenge myself all the time!

      Do something you are interested in, whether it is easy or not. You won’t regret it 🙂

      I don’t think my job is easy but one of the reasons I love being a scientist is because I love a challenge 😀 Also, the fact that my work is often challenging, means that every time something works or you make a new discovery, just makes it all the more satisfying!

      It can be very challenging but also very rewarding. I think I would get bored if I found my job easy

      I like my job, and I think that as long as you enjoy what you do a bit of difficult can be good thing – it stops us getting bored!
