Science helps me to explain things that I don’t understand, like how things work. I am a curious person and really like to explore new things and this is the best way for me to do that.

Also, I’ve had the opportunity to do really cool experiments and work on really great projects with amazing scientists!

Basically because I’m really nosy. I love finding thing things and getting to the bottom of things – apart from science I like history and detective programmes, which are also about finding out what really happened. Also, I love how far science has brought us. If it wasn’t for science, we’d probably still be living in the Middle Ages, which would be no fun at all.

I like the fact that the science what I am working on always changes – when we answer one question what we usually do is work out what the next question is, and beyond that there’s another one waiting. I like that I get to help other scientists and engineers get answers to their problems as well as do the science I like. I also like that while a lot of what I do is in a lab, some of it can or will make a difference to people’s lives.

I think I love science because it helps me to understand what’s happening in the world around me. Science can be used to solve problems and answer questions and we are constantly discovering new things and that’s what makes it so interesting to me
