My favourite science subject is chemistry. Thats what I study for my PhD. Specifically I am doing environmental materials chemistry which means I look at making things which could help the environment.
My favourite science experiment I do is when I use x-rays to look at my materials (it shows me their structure) and the coolest results I get is when I can prove that my materials are removing waste from water.

Well, I really like chemistry! I studied it at university and then moved on to materials science – which is like chemistry but we also look at the engineering parts of it too!

I use lost of different “flavours” of science every day – once you start working in science the edges between the different disciplines become a bit blurry – I like geology, and it’s what I do most of my work in, but I use physics, and materials science, and engineering, and maths, and chemistry and a bot of bioscience to solve the problems I work on.
