Question: How strong is titanium?

It has a high strength to weight ratio – which means for its weight, it is really strong! So this means that whilst steel can be just as strong – it is a lot heavier!

Titanium is used in planes because we need the strength but steel would be too heavy! It is starting to be used in cars too!
