      Hi there! If you think computer science might be right for you, try to learn how to code. Almost everything in computer science has something to do with code, so it’s a great way to start. Nowadays, this is super easy, there are many websites that offer online coding courses. Codeacademy is well-known among high school students and adults, but there are also alternatives for younger kids, such as Scratch, or Algorithmics.

      Through coding, I got into computer science as well. I was curious about how websites were built and learnt about the web-based programming languages HTML, CSS and PHP when I was in high school.

    Coding is definitely the best way to get into computer science as Vera says, but I just wanted to add that I got into computer science through studying biology first. I learn how to code when I was 22 when I already finished University and I wished I learnt it sooner, but there are definitely other ways you can get into it.
